Q: What age group is the book aimed at?
A: The principles and strategies outlined in Racing Towards Excellence are
not specific to readers of any particular background or age. Having said that, they are particularly
powerful when introduced to, and implemented by, secondary school students, university students and
recent graduates.
Q: Why is this book different?
A: The introduction to the book lists six factors that make it unique: "1) We empathically address 18-25 year olds. 2) We write about clearly defined goals and
how to measure them. 3) We focus on the low-hanging fruit. 4) We focus on efficiency,
conciseness and depth of research. 5) We combine theory and practice.
6) In many ways, this book is an attempt to correct certain detrimental
biases and decision making failures. 7) This book has been written by two people who have worked
together in a mentor/mentee relationship."
